The Department of Mathematics and Mathematics Education in the Faculty of Education has been awarded "The Czech National CEEPUS Office Prize 2012" for the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies project (CEEPUS). The prize will be presented on May 21, 2013. The Secretary General of CEEPUS, Elisabeth Sorantin, will be in attendance at the presentation.
This award follows a previous award when the network, CEEPUS, was recognised as the best in Europe.
Welcome to the conference „Developing community based support for people with intellectual disability: Working in partnership to achieve change“
The Conference will be organised jointly by the IASSI DD Special Interest with the Research Group on Comparative Policy and Practice and Charles University Prague as part of the QUALI -TY DES, Czech Research Foundation project (No. P407/11).

The Faculty of Education is participating in the EU 7FP for Research and Technological Development entitled „DISCIT – Making Persons with Disabilities Full Citizens” focused on how to Achieve Active Citizenship for Persons with Disabilities.
DISCIT is a three year project funded by the EU under 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. DISCIT consortium members include universities, research institutes and two civil society organisations. The consortium is supported by a Scientific Advisory Committee with distinguished members from different countries, a European Stakeholder Committee and eight National Stakeholder Committees in Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Serbia. The Czech team led by Assoc. prof. Jan Šiška co-ordinates a working package on Citizenship and Community Living.

Last year in 2012 a group of students from the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Humanities of Charles University in Prague participated in Oslo in the UNICA Student Conference 2012 "The Ideal European University". We would like to share with you what was happened in the conference and what students did in it.
